I am creating a VR app for the Oculus Quest, using an iMac for development. I followed the instructions for adding just the prefabs package to the Unity project manifest using the following:
However, when I build and run my project, it now takes a very long time for Unity to check for compatible Android devices -- I would say several minutes, before the build even begins. Everything works great once the build is complete, it just takes MUCH longer to do the build.
If I remove the VRTK prefabs package, checking for compatible devices only takes a few seconds. Any idea what could be causing this?
